_Jagdalpur : Two bookies from two different places of the city were arrested by the Kotwali police and the gambling act was done- TI, Eman Sahu_
Chhattisgarh (Bastar-Jagdalpur) Om Prakash Singh. Bastar Police has got success in action against two bookies from two different places Dharampura No.1 near Ram Krishna Ashram and Dharampura Durga Chowk in Jagdalpur city. On 30-10-2021, information was received through informer that Dharampura No. 1 near Ramakrishna Ashram and Dharampura Durga Chowk by two persons by taking money from some people by writing betting and gambling, earning money illegally.
_On receipt of the information, under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, Jitendra Singh Veena and Additional Superintendent of Police Om prakash Sharma and under the supervision of City Superintendent of Police Kiran Chanhan, two separate teams were constituted under the leadership of Inspector Eman Sahu and sent to the above places.
Where, after raiding, siege and interrogating the above persons, his name was told to be Chandan Singh, father Sonadhar, age 35 years resident of Jagdalpur near Dharampura No. 1 Ramakrishna Ashram. Screen shot of mobile in 5 pages from the possession of accused Chandan Singh 1 nos Samsung mobile and cash amount Rs 3500/- and accused Ruman Singh father Bharat Singh age 32 years resident Dharampura No. 1 near Ramakrishna Ashram in possession of Jagdalpur mobile in 5 pages Screen shot of, 1 piece Samsung mobile and cash amount of Rs 3200/- was recovered. Due to the occurrence of the act of the accused under Section 4 (a) of the Gambling Act, an offense was registered under the Gambling Act under separate U.K.-340/2021 and U.K. 341/2021 in Jagdalpur, Kotwali police station.
