On the occasion of Commemoration day, Bastar Police remembered the Supreme sacrifice made by personnel of Police and Security forces in the line of duty.
Chhattisgarh ( bastar - jagdalpur ) Om Prakash Singh। Every year on 21st of October, Police Commomeration day is observed throughout the country as a symbol of appreciation and respect for those Police personnel, who were martryed while defending the lives and properties of the countrymen.
Inspector General of Police Bastar Range, Sundarraj P read out the names of all 377 martrys of 2020-2021 during the commemoration ceremony in the Chhattisgarh Armed Force Battalion campus Kangoli, Jagdalpur.
The list of 377 martrys includes 32 from Chhattisgarh Police force also.
IGP Bastar mentioned that since the formation of state in November 2000, more than 1247 personnel of Police and CAPF have sacrificed their lives for peace and development of Bastar region.
On the eve of Police commemoration day it is not only our duty to remember their Supreme sacrifice but also add meaning to their martrydom by bringing an end to the naxal menace in the region.
