Green Care Society India launches UNESCO World Science Day 2021 fortnight programme for "Building Climate - Ready Communities".

Chhattisgarh( Dantewada ) Om prakash Singh. World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated every year on 10 November to highlight the important role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public on emerging scientific issues. 



 The theme "Building Climate - Ready Communities" was decided by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the year 2021. On this occasion a 15-days International Science Fortnight Programme is being organized by Green Care Society India in association with National Teacher Scientific Council India, Raman Science & Technology Foundation, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Council of Young Scientists, All India Ramanujan Maths Club and Igniting Dreams of Young Minds Foundation from 10 to 24 November 2021. This program has been approved by UNESCO through digital platform registration. Amujuri Biswanath, life member of the Indian Science Congress Association under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, Director of Green Care Society India and teacher of Aastha Vidya Mandir, Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, said that the current climate crisis needs funding, support for scientific research and cooperation across the globe. 

It deals not only with the natural sciences, but also with social, humanitarian and general sciences. Various activities like webinars, competitions, awareness and awards are being organized in collaboration with government and non-government organizations, industry and educational institutions on aspects of science, technology, innovation and education for the welfare and development of society as well as environment. 

In which science enthusiasts, students, teachers, journalists and general public can also participate. Support and agenda was given by Dr. Vishwanath Panigrahi, President Green Care Society India, Amujuri Biswanath Director GCSI, Dr. Chandramouli Joshi Chairman of NCTS, RSTF, ANCYS, Sandeep D Patil National Secretary and Dr. Ravi Shankar President, IDYM Foundation for free of cost program all over the world. 

Audrey Azoulay Director-General UNESCO said that climate change is a threat to all of us. Harness the potential of open science, not only to limit the impact of climate change, but also to shape a fairer and more peaceful world.
