National Mathematics Week program launched on the 134 th birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan

Chhattisgarh ( Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh. National Mathematics Day 2021 was celebrated on the 134th birth anniversary of genius and extraordinary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on 22 December. Experts of mathematics and science across the country paid tribute to him. 



Celebrating the rich legacy of the globally renowned mathematical genius “Who Knew Infinite” Srinivasa Ramanujan, the National Mathematics Week 2021 was launched on 22 December at Aastha Vidya Mandir Education City, Jawanga Dantewada. This program is being organised in association with The Indian Science Congress Association, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, All India Ramanujan Maths Club, Aastha Vidya Mandir Jawanga, National Council of Teacher Scientific India, Raman Science and Technology Foundation, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Council of Young Scientists and Igniting Dreams of Young Minds Foundation and Panigrahi Civil Engineering Foundation Durg on 22-28 December.



 

Amujuri Vishwanath, a life member of the Indian Science Congress Association, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and teacher of Aastha Vidya Mandir Dantewada said that Mathematics is concerned from the creation of nature to its activities and in daily life, such as education, business, construction works, sports, industry, health, agriculture, transportation, technology etc. He discussed with the students about livelihood opportunities through mathematics after completion of education and training. Ramanujan's exemplary contributions were notable regarding elliptic functions, continued fractions, infinite series and analytic theory of numbers.  



It is a matter of great inspiration and pride to us that mathematicians around the world continue to study his various unpublished papers. In this program, teachers Rajesh Dhavala, Bunil Sahu, Nathuram Anant discussed with the students through maths quiz and puzzles and told about their importance in the field of mathematics by Srinivasa Ramanujan. Many mathematicians, scientists, research scholars, professors, teachers, eminent speakers and students from various universities, institutions and organizations across the country will present their papers and research work as part of the National Mathematics Week.
