The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm throughout Bastar Range. Honble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bupesh Baghel unfurled the tricolor in the historical Lalbagh Parade ground and addressed the state.
Republic day was celebrated by security personnel along with the native population even in the core interior areas of Bastar Range.

On the eve of the republic day celebrations the local police and security forces deployed in Bastar Range were on high alert to ensure peace and order in the region. In the last season more than 14 New security camps have established in the interior areas like Karigundam, Kollaiguda, Nahadi, Minkapalli, Pungarpal etc...
The native population joined the local Police and security personnel in these camps to celebrate the republic day by hoisting the national flag and distributing sweets to each other. These camps are living upto the expectation of the native population by not only creating a secured environment in the region, but also facilitating the development works.
Chindnar camp established couple of years is one such example. Chindnar camp have ensured timely completion of 712 meter long magnificent bridge over the indravati river. On 25th of January Honble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh dedicated the bridge to hundreds of Village in south Abhujmaad north of Indravathi. The efforts and contribution of the security forces was widely appreciated by all concerned in getting the bridge constructed, which would be game changer in the lives of the thousands and thousands of local youth.
Sundarraj P, Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range expressed hope that today's peaceful celebration of Republic Day is an indication of strengthening the fabrics of nationalism and patriotism even in areas, which were once considered to naxal strong hold area.
