Children scientists and teachers of Aastha honored for innovation and inventions on National Science Day

Chhattisgarh ( Dantewada )Om Prakash Singh  National Science Day 2022 is celebrated on remembering the contributions and inventions of Indian scientists on 28 February. 

District level Science Exhibition was organized in association with District Administration Dantewada and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited Kirandul at Dantewada District Headquarters Medka Dobra Ground.

Government of Chhattisgarh, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, School Education Department, Dantewada organized a science exhibition of Best Out of Waste under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) National Innovation Campaign. In which about 500 participants from 70 high and higher secondary schools displayed their science model, as well as 40 teachers displayed Teaching Learning Materials TLM and Models Best out of Waste. Students and teachers of Aastha Vidya Mandir English Medium School, Geedam Jawanga participated in this event very actively. 

Sagar Bhaskar of Aastha Vidya Mandir Jawanga Geedam and Kumari Lakke of Government High School Cholnar Kuakonda from Dantewada district have been selected for the INSPIRE Award MANAK National Level Exhibition and Project Competition which is organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Innovation Foundation India. Sagar Bhaskar made the Coconut Dehusking-cum-Peeling Machine with the innovation support of Project Head Teacher Amujuri Biswanath. This machine is fully functional and useful which was displayed in science exhibition. Teacher Amujuri Biswanath said that this invention is very useful for employment generation and common people under self-reliant India (Aatma Nirbhar Bhart). It can be used in temples, hotels, kitchens, public places like bus stations, rail stations, agriculture sector. 

Chief guest of the program Dantewada District Education Committee President Subhash Surana, special guest Dantewada Municipality President Payal Gupta, SDM Abinash Mishra, AMNS India Limited Deputy General Manager SV Ramachandran, Assistant Manager Dr Tej Prakash, K Prasad, District Education Officer Rajesh Karma, District Mission Coordinator Shyamlal Shori, all Block Education Officers, all Block Re Coordinators appreciated this machine in the science model exhibition and said that in Dantewada district this machine is to be made available to the needy people and Child Scientist Sagar Bhaskar and Teacher Scientist Amujuri Biswanath have awarded by citation and memento for their innovation.  On this occasion painting, essay and debate competition were organized by the Education Department and Piramal Foundation under the 75th Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated as per the instructions of NITI Aayog. 

In the district level competition, students of Aastha Vidya Mandir, Jawanga Geedam, Kumma Kunjam got the first winner in painting, Indu Manikpuri got the first winner  and Anjali Thakur got the third winner in the debate competition. In this competition, teacher Nathuram Anant, Art & Craft Teacher Munnaram Markam and Teacher Ashimanand Baipri guided the students. On this occasion, Geedam Block Education Officer Sheikh Rafiq, Assistant Block Education Officer Bhavani Poonem, Principal Santosh Pradhan, All Cluster Coordinators, all teachers and staff congratulated them.
