District level meeting held in Geedam to implement Navbharat Literacy Program



Professor Usha Sharma of National Council of Educational Research and Training Delhi and Prashant Kumar Pandey, Assistant Director of Chhattisgarh State Literacy Mission Authority visited Dantewada district.



Chhattisgarh( Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh. Ministry of Education, Government of India and Government of Chhattisgarh has approved the National Education Policy 2020 and New India Literacy Program (Nav Bharat Literacy Program) for the period of FY 2022-2027 to cover all aspects of adult education.  Recommendations for adult education and lifelong learning have been included in the National Policy on Education 2020.  Professor Usha Sharma in-charge of CNCL, National Council of Educational Research and Training, Delhi visited Dantewada district on Saturday to implement the Navbharat Literacy Program.



 Prashant Kumar Pandey, Assistant Director of Chhattisgarh State Literacy Mission Authority and Nodal Officer of SCL, also visited Dantewada district. On June 18, a district level conference of education officers, teachers, parents and volunteers was organized in the auditorium of Education City Jawanga of Geedam Block. Professor Usha Sharma expressed her views on literacy program and said that there are struggles and problems in the lives of people in the areas of Bastar and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, which can be resolved with literacy. To solve the problems, there is a need to create a good environment along with confidence in everyone by accepting the challenges. Prashant Kumar Pandey started the slogan "Jai Literacy" and the song "Padhla Jabo Padhala Jabo Re" with all the people present and said that during the Corona period very little work was done for education in other states throughout the country. 



But only Chhattisgarh state has educated people and children at the grassroots level through Mohalla Classes, Loud Speaker Classes, and Village Classes. District Mission Coordinator Shyamlal Shori, Geedam Block Education Officer Sheikh Rafiq and DIET Principal Shailesh Singh presented the information about literacy program and education quality in Dantewada district. In order to increase the percentage of literacy, all the volunteer teachers, social organizations should come forward along with the departmental institutions of the government. 



Jitendra Chauhan managed the stage of the program with an energetic style. In this meeting, Katekalyan Block Education Officer Rammilan Ravte, Dantewada Block Education Officer DC Dhruv, Kuwakonda Block Education Officer Veena Gautam, RGSM Assistant Project Coordinator Rajendra Pandey, all Assistant Block Education Officers, all Block Source Coordinators, all Cluster Coordinators, volunteer teachers, DIET lecture Santosh Mishra, Amujuri Biswanath Director Green Care Society India, Shalika Pawar, Deepak Saha members Piramil Foundation were present in the conference.
