Geedam block level first phase Gender Equality & Life Skills Training organised
• 160 teachers of secondary schools received training from 23 to 25 June in first phase.
• The second phase training program will be organized from 27 to 29 June.

Geedam Block Level Gender Equality and Life Skills Training was organised on the orders of District Project Office, Samagra Siksha Dantewada under the Capacity Building & Body Confidence Project of Directorate of Public Instructions, Chhattisgarh Raipur and UNICEF.
It was conducted under the guidance of District Education Officer Rajesh Karma and District Mission Coordinator Shyamlal Sori. The first phase Gender Equality & Life Skills Training 2022 was conducted from 23rd to 25th June at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Education City Jawanga of Geedam Block in which 160 teachers of secondary schools received training. With the special supervision of District Institute of Education & Training Dantewada Principal Shailesh Singh, Senior Lectures Santosh Mishra and Sandeep Samal, guidelines on gender equality & life skills through educational aspects were given to the teachers.
Master Trainers Geedam Cluster Coordinator Jitendra Chauhan, Jawanga Cluster Coordinator Sheela Kadiyam, Suresh Gupta and Mita Bharadwaj gave training and took the sessions on different concepts on behavioural learning for gender equality and life skills. The master trainers told that there should be no discrimination between men & women and gender equality has to be promoted to all. Today's children are adopting external qualities, which have to be changed through life skills. By adopting the inner qualities, everyone has to behave equally. To be defined as a condition of equal access to opportunities and resources including economic participation to evaluate all the different needs, aspirations and behaviors without any bias. Adaptive and positive behaviors are abilities that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of daily life.
These life skills are to be adopted by all children, teachers and they can also be improved. An expert member from Indian Science Congress Association, The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, Amujuri Biswanath provided special cooperation for the training sessions. The second phase training program will be conducted from 27 to 29 June. After getting knowledge and experience in this program, teachers will follow in their schools.
