Players and coach of Eklavya Sports Complex Jawanga of Dantewada district were selected for Khelo India Youth Games 2021 which is being organised from 3 to 13 June, 2022 in Panchkula, Haryana. Om Baaghi student of Government Higher Secondary School Geedam is representing Chhattisgarh Boys Volleyball Team, Pragati Thakur student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Geedam and Deeksha Pujari, student of Aastha Vidya Mandir Jawanga are representing Chhattisgarh Girls Volleyball Team under the leadership of Coach Shrikant Modi. 



Chhattisgarh State Volleyball Association released the selection list. Khelo India Youth Games 2021 is being organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in Panchkula Haryana in which teams from 8 states of country namely Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat will participate. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Union Youth and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur will give inspirational address at Khelo India Youth Games. As per Girls volleyball schedule the matches will occur between Chhattisgarh Vs Kerala on 3 June at 11:00 AM, Chhattisgarh Vs Tamil Nadu on 4 June at 8:00 AM, Chhattisgarh Vs Gujarat on 5 June at 3:30 PM, Semi Final on 6 June and Final match on 7 June. All these matches will be broadcast live on Doordarshan Sports, Star Sports channel. 



The players of Eklavya Sports Complex Jawanga participated in the training camp for Khelo India Youth Games organized in Raipur from 25 to 31 May 2022. On this achievement, Dantewada District Collector Deepak Soni, District Sports Officer Mukesh Gond, District Education Officer Rajesh Karma, Assistant Sports Officer Satish Srivastava, Eklavya Sports Complex Superintendent Rajneesh Oswal, Green Care Society India Director Amujuri Biswanath congratulated the players and inspired to illuminate the name of Chhattisgarh as well as Dantewada district at national level.
