Dantewada : Run for Unity was organized in Dantewada on National Unity Day to pay tribute to Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.



Chhattisgarh( Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh. National Unity Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Dantewada district on 31 October on the occasion of 147th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India.  



Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played an important role in integrating 560 princely states into the Union of India. He is referred to as the 'Iron Man of India' because of his efforts towards national integration. Run for Unity was organized by District Administration Dantewada on the occasion of National Unity Day. 



Mr. Chhabindra Karma, Dantewada Municipality President Mrs Payal Gupta, Municipal Vice-Chairman Mr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh, District Panchayat Member Mr. Ramu Ram Netam including other public representatives and Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar flagged off the unity run from Medka Dobra, Dantewada. 



In which youths, boys, girls, school children along with public representatives, collector, officers and employees of the district enthusiastically participated in the unity run and encouraged the children. 



After the Run for Unity, garlanding and lighting a lamp on Chhattisgarh Mahtari and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel photos was done. Along with this, everyone took an oath to dedicate themselves to maintain the unity, integrity and security of the nation. 



In this program, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Lalit Aditya Neelam, Additional Collector Mr. Sanjay Kannauje, SDM Mr. Kumar Bishwaranjan, AC Tribal Anand Ji Singh, District Education Officer Pramod Thakur, District Sports Officer Kamal Kishore, Assistant Sports Officer Satish Srivastava and officers of all departments also have participated. 



100 students of Aastha Vidya Mandir English Medium School, Jawanga, Geedam and 50 players of Eklavya Sports Complex participated in Run for Unity.



 Mr. Amujuri Biswanath, PGT Aastha Vidya Mandir and Raviprakash Thakur Superintendent encouraged the children towards unity by running and patriotic slogans.  Around 800 children from other schools of Dantewada district took part in running and gave the message of unity. 

 

School children of Geedam gave the message of goodwill by running from the school premises to the bus stand Geedam. 170 students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Geedam and Kasturba Girls Residential School Geedam participated in running. 



Block Education Officer Sheikh Rafiq, Assistant Block Education Officer Ms. Bhavani Punem, Cluster Principal Kailash Neelam, Ravish Surana, Rakesh Mishra, Geedam Cluster Coordinator Yogesh Soni, Javanga Cluster Coordinator Nitin Vishwakarma, Smt. Prabha Yalam, Rama Karma, Rinku Soni, Harmani Durgam and members of Green Care Society India participated with enthusiasm.
