Bal Mahotsav Sports competition was organized at Astha Vidya Mandir Jawanga on Children's Day



Chhattisgarh( Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh. Children's Day was celebrated on remembering the 133rd birth anniversary Indian first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. A one-day Bal Mahotsav Sports event was organised with great enthusiasm at Astha Vidya Mandir, Education City Jawanga of Geedam block of Dantewada district. 



On this occasion Dantewada district panchayat member Sulochana Karma attended as chief guest, social worker Ravish Surana, district minority president Asif Raza, Jawanga former sarpanch Bomda Ram Kawasi also as special guests were present in the programme. 



While addressing the children, the guests said that Jawaharlal Nehru was an inspiration. He was a great advocate for the rights of children and for an inclusive education system where knowledge is accessible to all. He believed that children are the future of the country and the foundation of the society and hence the well-being of all should be taken care. 



Gopal Pandey, principal of Aastha Vidya Mandir said that Children's Day is celebrated to raise awareness about education rights and also to see that proper care is available for all children. Superintendent Raviprakash Thakur managed the stage and welcomed the guests. 

 

Before the sports competition, the children took a public oath that along with studies, they will follow the game sincerely and will maintain brotherhood. 



In this program, School Superintendent Sushma Das, Vice Principal Ravindranath Panigrahi, Pramod Gupta, Senior Teacher Amujuri Biswanath, Program Coordinators Vikas Bain, Chain Singh and all the teachers played an important role in completing the sports.  Winners were honored with prizes in volleyball, khokho, kabaddi, entertainment games.
