International Disability Day 2022 was celebrated on the orders of District Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Dantewada through district level sports, literary competition and cultural programs with joy at Education City Jawanga of Geedam Block. In which Saksham 1 & 2 and Government Hearing Impaired Children School Jawanga were participated actively. Chief Guest Dantewada District Panchayat President Tulika Karma, Special Guests District Panchayat Member Sangeeta Netam, Jawanga Panchayat Sarpanch Aarti Kowasi, Former Sarpanch Bomda Ram Kowasi, Deputy Collector Kalpana Dhruw started the program through laying flowers to picture of Chhattisgarh Mahatari and Goddess Danteshwari Devi and lighting the lamp. Guests said that by seeing the unique art performance of disabled children, disability persons have also capable of self-respect and rights like common people and they deserve equal respect.
The guests and common people visited the art gallery made by the children. With the collaboration of District Administration, Dantewada and NMDC, the school has a different identity, capable of making disabled children into good human beings and bringing laurels at the national and international level. During this, Pramod Atami of Oldage Home Heeranar and Amujuri Biswanath, senior teacher and superintendent Raviprakash Thakur of Aastha Vidya Mandir Jawanga have received the Saksham Award from the guests and officials. Children performed an outstanding art cum dance and proved that they too would be able to face all the challenges of the world easily. As the main theme of World Disability Day, Assistant Director Ahilya Thakur, APC Rajendra Pandey, APC Keshav Singh, APC Sikander Khan, Assistant Block Education Officer Bhawani Punem, Block Resource Coordinator Jitendra Sharma and BMC Anil Sharma said that District Administration Dantewada and Education Department are fully cooperating in every way in the overall development of the disabled children.
Superintendent Pramod Karma and Superintendent Rama Karma contributed their valuable service and cooperated with respect for the disabiled children as well as program. The winner girls and boys in the sports and literary competition were honored by the guests and officers by presenting them prizes, medals and flowers. Principal Kailash Neelam, Principal Jitendra Yadav, Superintendent of Aastha Vidya Mandir Superintendent Sushma Das, All Cluster Coordinators, BRPs Anumeha Tiwari, Poonam Jaisinghania, Narayan Sahu, Vijay Kumar, Saksham School trainers & staff, other teachers and parents were present.
