Geedam block gets overall champion in District Level Youth Festival 2022



472 youths from Dantewada, Geedam, Katekalyan and Kuakonda blocks participated in an intellectual, sports and cultural 38 disciplines.



Chhattisgarh( Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh .District Level Youth Festival for the year 2022-23 was organised by District Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Dantewada in collaboration with District Education Department Dantewada, on 4 and 5 December 2022 on the orders of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, Raipur at Auditorium, Education City Jawanga, Geedam with great enthusiasm. Chief Guest District Panchayat President Tulika Karma, Special Guests Jawanga Gram Panchayat former Sarpanch Bomda Ram Kovasi, social worker Ravish Surana attended the closing ceremony and they said that youth have an important role in the progress of Dantewada district, such as education, sports and art.



Participation of the youth in arts, culture, rural development and many trainings is a step for better development of the Chhattisgarh. District Sports Officer and Deputy Collector Shivnath Baghel, Geedam Janpad Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Anil Bhatia, Geedam Block Education Officer Sheikh Rafiq, Katekalyan BEO Pushkar Verma, Assistant Block Education Officer Geedam Bhavani Punem, ABEO Ram Milan Rawate, Block Resource Coordinator Geedam Jitendra Sharma, Katekalyan BRC Pramod Karma, BRC Kuwakonda Ram Kumar Mahanti, BMC Geedam Anil Sharma said that despite Dantewada district being a very sensitive, the youth gave excellent performance with their skills, due to which every citizen of the district is proud of their culture and progress. In various competitions, senior teachers Rakesh Mishra, Rajneesh Oswal, Sumitra Sori, Amujuri Biswanath, Mukesh Kashyap, Ajay Singh, Pawan Kashyap, Barkha Nag, Poonam Thakur took the charge of jury and declared the list of winners impartially. 



An intellectual, sports, various traditional and classical cultural competitions were organized in 15-40 years and above 40 years for women and men categories. As many as 472 youths from Dantewada, Geedam, Katekalyan and Kuakonda blocks participated in 38 disciplines. The first winner of each category was given 1500 cash prize and trophy and the second winner was given 1000 cash prize. In the District Level Youth Festival, Geedam block got overall champion with maximum number of winners. 



Cluster Coordinator Jitendra Chauhan and Superintendent Pramod Karma managed the program with the melodious speech smoothly. Principal Kailash Neelam, Jitendra Yadav, Seeta Singh, Superintendents Prabha Yalam, Ravi Prakash Thakur, Sushma Das, Narayan Sahu, Mahendra Mandvi, Gautam Dhruv, Prakash Gupta, Laxman Sahu, All Cluster Coordinators welcomed the guests and grandly organized the program. Teacher Mithleshwar Jain performed pleasent music with his voice, the youth danced enthusiastically.
