Astha Vidya Mandir 4 students and 2 teachers participated in Dantewada Tourism logo making competition



• Munnalal Markam's logo selected for Dantewada tourism website, Kumma Kunjam got second place





Chhattisgarh ( Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh . District Administration Dantewada, Religion and Tourism Department organized a one-day workshop on "Possibilities of Tourism in Dantewada" to brainstorm on ways to identify tourist places and expand tourism facilities.  In order to promote tourism, a logo making competition was organized for the district's tourism website www.dantewada tourism.in by the District Administration, Dantewada, under the guidance and instructions of the Collector Mr. Vineet Nandanwar. Among the 100 participants including students and local artists, 4 students and 2 teachers of Astha Vidya Mandir English Medium School, Jawanga also participated.  



In which art teacher Munnalal Markam, senior teacher PGT Amujuri Biswanath, students Kumma Kunjam, Karthik Mandvi, Prakash Markam, Manish Kashyap made Dantewada Tourism logo showing their art skills and talent. World famous Maa Danteshwari Temple of Dantewada District, Dholkal Ganesh, Battisa Temple of Barsoor, Mama Bhacha Temple, Ganesh Temple, NMDC Bailadila Hill, Waterfall, Jawanga Education City as well as local culture tradition and drum dance were mentioned. The logo made by art teacher Munnalal Markam was selected by the District Administration Dantewada and rewarded with 5000 cash, momento and certificate.



 

Logo made by young artist Kumma Kunjam bagged 2nd position. Chief guest of the program, MLA Devati Mahendra Karma, special guests State Food Commission member and District Tourism Board member Vimal Surana, Collector Vineet Nandanwar honored the winners. Artist Munnalal Markam, senior teacher Amujuri Biswanath and Kumma Kunjam told that Dantewada will now have a new identity on the world map, there will be possibilities in the field of tourism, seeing which Dantewada will be famous in India as well as globally.  


Dantewada will also have social, cultural and economic development through tourism. On this achievement, Additional Collector Sanjay Kannauje, Joint Collector Surendra Thakur, District Education Officer Pramod Thakur, District Mission Coordinator Shyamlal Sori, Deputy Commissioner of Tribal Department Dr. Anand Ji Singh, Principal of Astha Vidya Mandir Gopal Pandey, Superintendent Ravi Prakash Thakur, Sushma Das, all the teachers congratulated and wished the artists.



  

The speakers kept their views and suggestions in this workshop. In the discussion, things related to promotion of tourist places, access routes, conservation of archaeological idols, arrangements for tourists' stay, factors that give distinctive identity to the district etc. were discussed. Tourism Information Center is being prepared in Dantewada district. Now Dantewada will get a new identity at the world class level.
