Dantewada students set world records in ISRO & DRDO recognised Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission
• 11 participants from Dantewada, Chhattisgarh participated India's First Hybrid Rocket APJAKSLVM live launching at Pattipulam, Tamilnadu
• Now Dantewada has become world's the first district where 75 students joined the mission at free of cost and set a world record.
Chhattisgarh(Geedam/Dantewada ) Om Prakash Singh . India's first hybrid rocket launch of 150 PICO satellites simultaneously under the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Mission 2023 was successfully completed at Pattipulam in Chengalpattu district, near Chennai of Tamilnadu state. A workshop on Satellite and Rocketry Integration was organized on 18 February and a rocket launch program was organised on 19 February by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation House of Kalam in collaboration with technical partner Space Zone India Chennai and sponsor Martin Group Coimbatore and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research Kalpakkam. This mission was recognized by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Government of India.
The chief guest of the program, Her Excellency the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, while motivating the participants who involved in the rocket launch, said that young scientists play an important role in making India as Vishwa Guru in the field of space. Lecturer Amujuri Biswanath with students Amit Nag, Rahul Markam, Prince Sori, Pappu Bhardwaj, Sahdev Vatti, Savinlal Markam of Astha Vidya Mandir English Medium School Jawanga Geedam and lecturer T. Vijayalakshmi with students Neeraj Markam, Debansh Mandal and Neha Thakur of SAGES Hindi Dantewada of Chhattisgarh participated in the live rocket launching program.
On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav of India's 75th Independence, 65 students from Chhattisgarh and 10 students from Odisha, a total of 75 students are included in this mission, whose center is focused on Dantewada. Amujuri Biswanath, State Co-ordinator, Chhattisgarh & Odisha State told that Dantewada district is very sensitive and interior area of Chhattisgarh, now it is the first district in the world from where a total of 75 children joined the mission at free of cost and succeeded in setting a world records.
⁰Dantewada team gave the message of a progressive country by hoisting the tricolor flag of India. Amujuri Biswanath was felicitated by her excellency Governor Dr. Tamilsai Soundararajan, APMJ Sheikh Saleem, APMJ Sheikh Dawood by giving him certificate and momento for his excellent work in the field of science, technology and education.
APJMJ Sheikh Dawood and APJMJ Sheikh Saleem, grand nephews of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Sir, Dr. APJMJ Nazema Maraikayar Niece of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Dr. Anand Megalingam, Space Zone India CEO & Mission Director, Dr. Lima Rose Martin and Dr. Jose Charles Martin MD, Dr. B. Venkataraman Director Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Padmashree Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Former ISRO Director and Head of Small Satellites, Dr. Gokul Devendran ISRO Scientist, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail Principal Scientist, Dr. L. Ramesh IGEN President attended as guests of honour and they said that everyone's participation is necessary in fulfilling the vision of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam towards great India. AKIF General Secretary Milind Chowdhary and National Coordinator M Suresh informed that more than 5000 students, teachers and parents from different states of the country became a part of this project. In the workshop, students and teachers were trained by the scientists to develop and adjust the satellite.
Children from class 6th to 12th were enabled to design and develop 150 Pico satellites, which were launched through reusable sounding rockets. The objective of this project is to make career and provide employment to the students of schools and colleges by training them in science, technology, mathematics, space science. Earlier, ten days online training on space science was given to the children by technical expert Mohit Chowdhary. A workshop was organized at the auditorium located at Jawanga Education City of Dantewada, in which Milind Chowdhary General Secretary AKIF, Manisha Tai Chowdhary and Aditya Chowdhary experts provided guidance and training.
On this proud achievement District Dantewada Collector Vineet Nandanwar, District Education Officer Pramod Thakur, District Mission Coordinator Shyamlal Shorey, Dantewada BEO DS Dhruv, Geedam BEO Sheikh Rafiq, Astha Vidya Mandir Principal Gopal Pandey, SAGES Hindi Dantewada Principal LB Yadav, BB Chakraborty, Superintendent Raviprakash Thakur and all cluster coordinators, all teachers of the schools sent their best wishes and greetings for great achievement.
