World Space Week for the year 2024 has been selected as "Space and Climate Change" by the World Space Week Association Houston, Texas, USA to make people aware of the knowledge, possibilities and secrets related to the field of space science.
Universal Science, Technology and Innovation Council - India has got the opportunity to organize the event free of cost through online and offline medium. Mr. Amujuri Biswanath, the only organizer from Dantewada Center in Chhattisgarh and Kotpad Center in Odisha has received official confirmation from the World Space Week Association Houston Texas USA to conduct the program globally including India. Head and CEO of Universal Science, Technology & Innovation Council - India and International Teacher Liaison Officer of Space Foundation Colorado USA Mr. Amujuri Biswanath informed that a week-long programme of webinars, conferences, competitions, awards on various topics is being organised from 4th to 10th October for students, teachers, scientists, space enthusiasts, journalists, entrepreneurs, general public and community organisations. The last date for sending painting, speech, essay, photography, reels competitions and project entries is 12th October. The aim of this programme is to provide free training,
information and opportunity to people and make them aware about space science, near-earth objects, satellites, rocketry, environment. Mr. Amujuri Biswanath also said that National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Space Foundation Colorado USA, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), International Astronomical Union, International Telecommunication Union, Space Education Research and Development Organization, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, Green Care Society India and more than 100 countries have joined in organizing this program. For the year 2024 World Space Week is sponsored by Spire, Sierra Naveda Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Viasat, SES, Vast, Kuwait Investment Co and the official partners are United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, Space Foundation Colorado USA, Voice of Satellite Industry, Planetary Society, Space Generation Advisory Council Austria, Space Africa, Asteroid Foundation Luxembourg, Astronomical Society of Pacific, Spacewatch Global, Moon Village Association and WIA.
